Braunston to Northolt, April 2012

The positioning voyage in advance of the Thames Diamond Jubilee pageant in June. 91 miles, 90 locks.

No problems with the water shortages on the Tring summit, or the restrictions in place there, and at Stoke Bruerne, Buckby and Braunston. Some mud in Wolverton. Many many moored boats, especially as we got close to London. Hail in Stoke Bruerne, sunstroke in Watford.

A few days previously, I crewed on Joel Sanders’ boat, Herbie 2 for their first trip on the tideway, from Limehouse to Brentford. See the rather nice brief video.
