Northolt to Limehouse – 11 May 2012

The final phase of the trip from Braunston to Limehouse. So we are now ready for the pageant rehearsals.18 miles and 12 locks.

An early start at 0500, pausing for provisions and breakfast at Kensal Green, and water & installation of bunting (standard air draft mode) at Little Venice. We were filmed by Belgian TV while near Camden Lock, and then met up with NB Ernest at St Pancras. They were dressed overall to represent the Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust, and with the Deputy Lord Lieutanant on on board! Easy run down to Limehouse – lots of people to chat to on the bank, a big improvement on how this stretch used to be 15 years ago.
