Continuing from part 1, we went up the Bedford Ouse to the head of navigation (well as close as we could get), and then back to Ely via the Old West.
St Ives, mooring by the meadow. Hugh tried cycling around it
Hemingford lock, I think the most beautiful on the river
Hugh recovering after cycling (twice) around Graffam Water. He left the river at Offord and returned at St Neots, without getting lost.
Great Barford – we didn’t have time to visit the pub
Castle Mill lock – a rather fearsome weir
We just got under the two low railway bridges
Kempston – well nearly, this was as far as we could get without serious tree surgery
Jeremy on board after his prom concert.
Bedford town lock – Hugh mending a puncture
Water-skiiing near Eaton Socon
Hemingford – fine GOBA moorings
Waiting at Brownshill lock
Last night mooring – 30 mins along the Old West (Willingham).
Rain on the Old West
We must be nearly home …
