Olympic Park Cruise – July 2016

Today I am crewing on the narrow boat MR BOJANGLES, taking part in the cruise around the Olympic Park to celebrate the reopening of the Bow Back rivers this summer. Live blogging to follow. Below is my very small contribution to the organisation of the event – copies of the signs for the windows of each boat.

Approx (very) timings:

  • 1330: set off from Bow Locks on the Lea Navigation
  • 1400: Enter Old River Lea near Old Ford locks, navigate around the north of the Olympic stadium & return
  • 1445: City Mill lock, then up the Waterworks River
  • 1500: Carpenters Road Lock
  • 1530: Lock out at Three Mills Lock
  • 1550: Bow Creek Mouth
  • 1620: Greenwich, enter Deptford Creek
  • 1645: Depart Deptford Creek
  • 1730: Limehouse
  • 1806: High Water London Bridge (6.7m)
  • DSCF7979
  • 1830: return to Bow locks
